"Lady" Esther Ford

Known to many as "Lady" Esther Ford, she has truly made her mark in Gospel music. Not only is she a singer, but also a reverend. Esther Ford has sung with many groups, including The Echo Gospel Singers of Baltimore, the Famous Ward Singers, The Stars of Faith, and the Famous Davis Sisters, filling in for Audrey, who was out on maternal leave. Rev. "Lady" Esther Ford has also formed a few of her own groups, including The Exodus Singers, one of the first interracial Gospel groups; The Esther Ford Singers; and today she has a group known as The Vintage Gospel Singers, who are keeping the traditional sounds alive in the Baltimore area and beyond.
